A finishing school is helping tech founders hide their bad personalities. A VC firm is running four-hour etiquette classes and betting that having rizz will make tech founders stand out in the increasingly saturated AI market, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Here’s what we think founders should learn:

  • Ways to describe people, other than “builder” or “thought leader”
  • How to text their friends without asking an LLM if they sound human enough
  • The upsides of wearing both cologne and deodorant

While Silicon Valley godfather and Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan rebuked the idea, others are viewing the classes as a sign the industry is maturing out of its hoodie culture. As one founder put it: “We can’t be weird forever.”
