A tech company just (technically) got an EGOT. Apple joined the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony-winners club last night. Schmigadoon! won four Tonys, including the coveted Best Musical, and was based on the Apple TV series that was canceled after two seasons. The studio EGOT is an informal title—formal ones go to people—but at 6.5 years, Apple got there faster than any individual ever has. (It took Netflix 12 years, after winning a Tony last year for Stranger Things: The First Shadow.)

"I think I should start by thanking Apple TV for canceling the third season of Schmigadoon the TV show," producer Christine Schwarzman said onstage, "because without them we couldn't have picked it up and ran with it." Now here's looking at you, Amazon.
